A word from SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day:

“I’m watching a slow-moving offshore system that looks more threatening from high above. The area of low pressure will track from south of Cape Cod to sit off the southern tip of Nova Scotia tomorrow. We can expect to see the odd flurry or rain shower as the system rotates out over the water. The sprawling wind field around the storm will generate a raw northeast wind that will become more northerly on Wednesday, before backing to the northwest by Thursday. That wind will trigger some onshore snow on Wednesday and again Friday as the system finally exists the region. Over the next few days, snow totals could reach close to 15 centimetres. Clouds and seasonal temperatures will take us into the weekend.”
