MONCTON, N.B. – Jeremy McKenna’s two-point effort played a key role in the Moncton Wildcats’ win on Friday night.
McKenna, who is from Summerside, scored once and assisted on another to help the Wildcats to a 3-2 win over the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in a Quebec Major Junior Hockey League game at the Moncton Coliseum.
McKenna’s goal at 10:04 of the second period gave the Wildcats a 3-1 lead, and stood up as the game-winning tally.
McKenna now has 19 points – eight goals and 11 assists – in 13 regular-season games in his sophomore season with the Wildcats.
