Hurricanes win first game at men's CCAA soccer championship

The Holland College Hurricanes men’s soccer team can advance to Saturday’s bronze medal game with a win today.

The Hurricanes play the Algonquin Thunder at 6 p.m. Atlantic in Fort McMurray, Alta., at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association championship.
Holland College defeated the Douglas Royals 4-1 on Thursday.
Ibra Sanoh, who scored twice, was the Hurricanes player of the game.
Parker MacRae scored in the 17th minute for Holland College while Sanoh made it 2-0 at the half.
Theo Ngezahayo scored in the 55th minute to make it 3-0 before the Royals broke Stephen Corkum’s clean sheet bid in the 80th minute. Sanoh rounded out the scoring two minutes later.
