QUISPAMSIS, N.B. – The Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride has opened the 2018-19 New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League regular season with two straight road wins.
Goaltender Erik MacInnis turned in a 44-save performance while Declan MacEachern netted a hat trick and Cole Larkin had two goals and an assist to lead the Pride to a 6-4 win over the Saint John Vitos at the Q-Plex on Friday night.
Bradley Campbell also scored for the Pride while Jacob Squires (2) and Seth Morris chipped in with other helpers.

Drew Elliott (2), Jonathon Beers and Connor Richard countered for the Vitos (2-1).
The teams were tied 2-2 after the first period, and the Pride took a 5-3 advantage into the second intermission.
Overall, the Vitos outshot the Pride 48-31. Rylan Holder was in goal for Saint John.
Charlottetown’s first win – a 4-3 overtime decision – came against the Fredericton Caps on Sept. 16.
The Pride’s next game is in Bathurst, N.B., on Friday against the Northern Moose (1-3) Charlottetown’s home opener at the Bell Aliant Centre on the campus of UPEI is against its provincial rivals, Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild on Friday, Oct. 5, at 7:30 p.m.
