CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Daria Leidenius of the Holland College Hurricanes golf team is the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) female athlete of the week.

Leidenius, a second-year golf club management student, was crowned the ACAA women’s champion last weekend during the conference championships at the Links at Crowbush Cove.
The Ponoka, Alta., native’s rounds of 88 and 89 in cold temperatures and high winds was good enough for a 14-stroke victory.
It was Leidenius’ fifth victory and first conference championship of her career.
Corey McMinniman of the UNB men’s golf team is the male athlete of the week.
