UNB eliminated the UPEI Panthers tonight in the AUS men's hockey semifinal with a 4-0 victory.

The Varsity Reds outshot UPEI 32-25.

Tyler Carroll scored at 1:18 of the second period for UNB, the only scoring there was in the middle frame.

It was Carroll's third point of the night.

UNB leads UPEI 4-0 after two.

If the score holds up, the Varsity Reds, who lead the best-of-five series 2-0, will move on to the AUS men's hockey championship.

UNB has outshot UPEI 21-19 through two periods.

Philippe Halley has a pair of goals as UNB leads the UPEI men’s Panthers 3-0 after the first period in Game 3 of the Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey semifinal at MacLauchlan Arena in Charlottetown tonight.

Halley opened the scoring on the power play 2:10 into the game. Tyler Carroll had the lone assist.

Stephen Anderson put the Varsity Reds up by two at 4:40 on another power-play goal. Philippe Maillet and Jordan Murray had the assists.

Halley scored his second of the night at 15:21 to give UNB a three-goal leading after the opening frame. Matt Boudens and Carroll had the assists.
