Emma Weatherbie scored the winner as the UPEI Panthers defeated the Mount Allison Mounties 4-2 Sunday in Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey action.

Trailing 2-1 heading to the third period at MacLauchlan Arena, the Panthers scored three unanswered goals for the victory.

Lindsay Johnston and Faith Steeves each had a goal and an assist while Jenna Pellerin also scored. Emma Martin had two assists while Ashtyn Bartlett, Kaylee Dufresne and Cornelia Geib each added one.

Shelby Colton and Jennifer Dillon scored for the Mounties.

Megan Sullivan made 18 saves for the win while Lindsay Wray stopped 17 of 21 shots in the loss.

UPEI improved to 4-2 while Mount Allison falls to 1-5.

The St. FX X-Women visit MacLauchlan Arena Saturday at 3 p.m.
