Islanders record points in QMJHL on Friday night

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. – It was a good night for Prince Edward Islanders in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Charlottetown Islanders forward Kameron Kielly of Charlottetown scored his 20th goal of the regular season in a 4-2 home-ice loss to the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
Kielly improved his point total to 39, including 20 goals and 19 assists, in 37 regular-season games.

McQuaid
Rookie defenceman Chris McQuaid of Charlottetown scored his second goal of the 2016-17 season to help the host Rouyn-Noranda Huskies to an 8-2 victory over the Quebec Remparts.
McQuaid, who played the second half of last season with the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild of the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League, has seven points in 37 matches.

Jeremy McKenna of Summerside earned an assist for the Moncton Wildcats in a 6-2 loss to the host Halifax Mooseheads.
McKenna has 17 points – 10 goals and seven assists – in 37 contests in his freshman season with the Wildcats.

MacEwen
Zack MacEwen of Stratford picked up a helper for the visiting Gatineau Olympiques, who dropped a 6-2 decision to the Victoriaville Tigres.
MacEwen has recorded 38 points in 37 contests. He has 18 goals and 20 assists.
