SLEMON PARK – The North River Flames spoiled the Summerside Cover-All Construction Crunch’s home opener on Friday night.
The Flames, who held period leads of 2-1 and 4-1, trimmed the Crunch 8-3 in a Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League game at The Plex.
Logan Aylward (2), Matt Craig (1-2), Liam O’Connor, Tanner Hood, Alex Young, Mack McGuigan and Brandon Watts scored for the Flames, who are 3-2-0 (won-lost-overtime losses).
Remi Arsenault (1-1), Kolton Stright and Skyler Phillips replied for the Crunch (1-2-0), who were scheduled to visit the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces (1-1-1) on Sunday night.
Winning goaltender was Jed Walsh.
