CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Brayden Handrahan sniped the winner with five minutes to play Monday as the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces defeated the first-place Sherwood Metros 6-5.

Brydon Smith had a goal and two assists in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League victory at the Cody Banks Arena.

Drake Smallman and Will Tuplin both had a goal and a helper in the win. Dawson Sellick and Matthew Bowness rounded out the scoring for the Aces while Lexin Gaudet, Brayden Arsenault, Jayden Arthur and Colton Chaisson each had an assist.

Brechan MacLean recorded a hat trick for the Metros while Hunter Boudreau and Marc Cummiskey tallied singles. Brian Leslie and Owen Arsenault each had two assists while Brad Jenkins, Logan Toole, Shawn Corney and James Duffy all had one.

Kristen Clemens stopped 36 shots for the victory while Duffy made 37 saves in the loss.

The Metros led 1-0 after the first period and the game was tied 3-3 heading to the third.

Tignish improved to 11-5-2 while Sherwood is 16-2-0.
