The Charlottetown Islanders announced Friday contract renewals for four key members of its staff.

Following the four-year extension of head coach and general manager Jim Hulton in March, the Islanders have reached multi-year agreements with Guy Girouard (associate coach and assistant general manager), Brad Mackenzie (assistant coach), Kevin Elliott (athletic therapist) and Andrew ‘Spider’ MacNeill (equipment manager) to remain with the team through the 2019-2020 season.

This staff has lead the franchise to back-to-back President Cup semifinal appearances, most recently falling to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in seven games, this past season.

“This is both an exciting and important announcement for our Hockey Club.” said Craig Foster, president of operations. “I’m very pleased to move forward with this dedicated team on our hockey operations staff. The whole culture of our organization has been first class and I think that has been reflected in our play as well as our community representation. Each of them has contributed to the success of the franchise with the common goal of bringing a championship team to Prince Edward Island"

Islanders 2018-19 season ticket memberships are on sale now at the Islanders team shop or by calling 902-892-7349.
