PEAKES, P.E.I. - The Peakes Bombers continued their hot start in the Kings County Baseball League with an 11-2 win over the Cardigan Clippers on a cold and windy Sunday afternoon. 

Josh Coffin threw four innings in a winning effort with relief from Tyson McInnis. Sam Walsh was the losing pitcher for the Clippers with relief from Kevin MacLeod. 

For the Bombers, Connor Myers went 3-for-3 with a homerun and a double, Colin Myers went 3-for-4 with a double and Matt Bradley and Sean Corcoran each went 2-for-4.  Walsh went 3-3 with a double to lead the Clippers while Kevin MacLeod went 1-for-1 and Jed Walsh 1-for-2.

Brewers 5, Expos 4 (16 innings)

For the second time this season the Northside Gill Construction Brewers and East Royalty Expos went into multiple extra innings. This time the Brewers finished on the winning end of a 5-4 decision.

Spencer Smith led off the bottom of the 16th inning with a double then Jordan Stevenson ended the game with a single up the middle in the 16th frame.

Tyson Blue pitched 11 innings and had eight strikeouts for the Brewers before leaving the game with the score tied 3-3. The teams exchanged runs in the 12th before Stevenson ended it with his third hit of the game.

Bryan Linton recorded the win for the Brewers, pitching the last four innings in relief of DJ Dunn and Blue. The trio combined for a six-hitter over the 16 innings. 

Smith and Jason Maclean with two hits each for the Brewers.

Duff MacDonald had a hit and three walks for the Expos. 

Brett Cheverie pitched six and one-third innings before giving way for Tyler Johnson, who suffered the loss.

Chevies 4, Athletics 3

The Morell Chevies struck for three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to erase a 3-1 deficit and edged the Stratford Athletics 4-3 on Sunday.

Stratford opened the scoring in the second inning on an Alister Smith single off Chevies starter Taylor Larkin, but the Chevies tied 1-1 in the bottom of the third after Logan Gallant scored Scott Harper on an RBI single. 

The A’s scored twice in the top of the fifth thanks to Ryne Macissac scoring on an RBI groundout and Adam Smith driving home Corey Dougay with a single. 

But Morell got to Stratford starter Dan O'Shea in the sixth as Jarrod Laybolt and Desi Doyle hit consecutive singles. Both scored on Josh MacDonald's second hit of the game before Darcy Affleck tallied the go-ahead run on a Stratford error. 

Andrew O'Shea picked up the win in relief of Larkin, pitching two scoreless innings, while Dan O'Shea took the complete-game loss. 

The Chevies host the Cardigan Clippers Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
