Verna Laura Macmillan

The death occurred peacefully with family at her side at Beach Grove Home, Charlottetown, on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, of Verna MacMillan (nee Stetson), beloved wife of 62 years to Norman MacMillan, formerly of Clyde River and O’Leary, aged 84. Verna was the beloved mother of Mary Lu MacPhee (Lindsay), Nancy Frizzell (Clarence) and Ross MacMillan (Karen); grandmother of Kris MacPhee (Anne Marie), Ryan MacPhee (Sapphire) and Sarah MacPhee; Kristin Stewart (Thomas) and Allison Frizzell; and Joshua MacMillan, Erica Colson (Phillip), Emily MacMillan (Brett O’Halloran) and Jonah MacMillan; and great-grandmother, of Lucy and Elena MacPhee; Simon and Sawyer MacPhee; Hailey and Sophie Stewart; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Llewellyn and Ceretta (Jelley) Stetson; parents-in-law, George and Olive MacMillan; sister, Jean Stetson; and brother-in-law, Allan MacMillan (Marian). Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, February 22, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held at Faith Bible Church, East Royalty, on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment later in Springfield West Baptist Cemetery, O’Leary.
