Floyd Franklin Ford

It is with great sadness in our hearts that the death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Sunday, May 27, 2018, of Floyd F. Ford, of Charlottetown and formerly of Oyster Bed Bridge, aged 81 years. Floyd was the husband of the late Mary “Doreen” Ford (nee Doucette); and the late “Leona” Margaret Ford (nee Doiron). He was the loving father of Judy Gallant (Richard), Glenn Ford (Eileen); Michael Ford, Donna Ford (Darrell), Darren Ford and Treena Sheehan (James). He will also be lovingly remembered by 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; “special friend”, Betty Blue; daughter-in-law, Norma Ford; sisters, Ruby MacCallum (Hugh), Sandra Vienneau (John) and Sheila McCarron; sister-in-law, Evelyn Ford; step-children, Debbie Keoughan (John), Don Misener, Sheryl Livingstone (Gary) and Shane Misener (Roma); 11 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law from his predeceased wives’ families; and numerous nieces and nephews. Floyd was also predeceased by his parents, Walter and Myrtle Ford; infant son, Robert Ford; sons, Wayne Ford and Shawn Ford; brothers, Winston Ford and Fulton Ford; sister, Freda Ford; half-sister, Lois Gamester; brother-in-law, John MacCarron; and sister-in-law, Stella Ford. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538, Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
