Wind energy accounts for large part of Summerside's electricity in June

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. - About 53 per cent of Summerside’s electricity for the month of June came from wind energy, according to the electric utility monthly report.

In addition, generator run hours were minimal at 6.4 hours.

There were four new heat for less appliances sold, nine new electric customers and six electric service upgrades.
