Suspended sentence handed out to Summerside woman for assault

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – Michelle Church (also known as MacDonald), 45, of Summerside, has pleaded guilty to one count of failing to appear in court as required and one count of assault.

The charges are from Sept. 26 and Dec. 5, 2013, in Summerside and Portage.

Church was given a suspended sentence, must serve 12 months of probation and pay $200 in victim surcharges.
