Police on P.E.I. asking for tips on who stole a safe from a church

Kings District RCMP is requesting tips from the public to track down who stole a safe from St. Mary's Parish Church in Montague.

It is thought that the break-in and theft happened sometime overnight on Wednesday.

The culprits made off with a safe that contained money and significant documents, said a police report.

To give a tip directly to a police officer about the safe theft, please call Kings District RCMP at 902-368-9300..

On the other had, to give a tip, but remain anonymous and possibly qualify for a cash reward, contact Crime Stoppers, either on the Internet and follow the various ways to make a tip, including through Facebook, or with a toll-free, anonymous phone call to 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
