The P.E.I. New Democratic Party will hold its nomination meeting Thursday night to determine who will run in the District 11, Charlottetown-Parkdale byelection.

The meetng will begin at 7 p.m. at Upsteet Craft Brewing, 41 Allen St., in Charlottetown.

As yet, the party has not identified any candidates seeking the nomination.

The three other political parties have each chosen a candidate to vie to replace former Education minister Doug Currie's legislative seat. Currie resigned in late October, saying it was time to step away from politics.

Monday night, the Liberals chose Charlottetown city councillor Bob Doiron to run, while the Green party selected Hannah Bell. Wednesday, PCs Melissa Hilton, who's also a city councillor, was acclaimed as the winner of that party's nomination.
