The Gahan House Restaurant and Brewery is expanding to a new location in New Brunswick in March.

On Monday, P.E.I.’s Murphy Hospitality Group announced that it recently purchased Vault 29 on Queen Street in Fredericton (effective Jan. 1) to locate the new restaurant, according to a press release.

This will be the fourth Gahan House location, joining Charlottetown, Halifax and Saint John. Another New Brunswick location is scheduled to open in Moncton next year.

“We are very excited about the purchase of Vault 29 and the conversion to a Gahan House Restaurant and Brewery. Fredericton is a craft beer destination and we very much look forward to being part of this scene,” said Kevin Murphy, president of Murphy Hospitality Group “Fredericton has been very good to us in the support of our beers in the N.B. Liquor stores. We want to support communities that support us and look forward to giving back to the economy of N.B.”

The company says the Fredericton location will have a 120-seat dining room, an oyster bar, two seasonal outdoor patios and a five-barrel brewing system.

About 40 people are expected to be hired prior to the restaurant’s opening.
