More outdoor rinks needed in Sherwood: councillor

Coun. Bob Doiron said he would like to see more outdoor rinks in the city, especially in his ward, which is the neighbourhood of Sherwood.

Coun. Mitchell Tweel, chairman of the parks and recreation committee, said there are currently two outdoor rinks that feature boards and is very open to the idea of having more.

“I would support that initiative,’’ Tweel said.

“The more kids we have playing outdoor hockey the better.’’
