GEORGETOWN - A Montague woman who was found in the driver’s seat of her vehicle while she was drunk was sentenced Thursday to three days in jail.

Hannah Danielle MacKinnon, 20, appeared before Chief Judge Nancy Orr in provincial court in Georgetown where she pleaded guilty to having care and control of her vehicle while drunk.

The court heard the RCMP found MacKinnon in a grocery store parking lot after a report she was driving while impaired.

MacKinnon provided breathalyzer samples that were above the legal limit.

Along with the jail time, MacKinnon must pay a $1,000 fine and $300 victim surcharge.

She is banned from driving for one year.
