Five young adults, whose ages range from 20 to 26, have been charged in connection with a home invasion in Emyvale in May 2012.

The RCMP's "L" Division Major Crime Unit has been investigating the crime for 10 months in which two masked and armed men tied up an Emyvale resident and robbed the victim.

Those charged with armed robbery, wearing a mask in the commission of an offence, and assault with a weapon are 23-year old Chase Roper and 22-year-old and Derry Ian Bird.

Three other people are  charged with being a party to the offence of robbery and armed robbery. They are 26-year-old Jason Yeo, 21-year-old Jennifer Wakelin, and 20-year-old Kaylee MacLean.

All five will answer the charges in P.E.I. Provincial Court on April 17.
