Opposition MLA Brad Trivers has written a letter to P.E.I.’s conflict of interest commissioner over what he says are concerns related to companies in which Premier Wade MacLauchlan has a financial stake.

The issue related to a company called discoverygarden and a tour of the business the Opposition said MacLauchlan invited Ryerson University’s president to attend.

In the letter, Trivers said MacLauchlan made arrangements to attend that tour.

Trivers said it was his belief MacLauchlan’s actions constituted a conflict of interest. Finance Minister Heath MacDonald confirmed to The Guardian that tour never took place.
