Drivers are advised that road work may cause traffic delays or road closures in some areas around Charlottetown today.

Warburton Street between North River Road and Beer Street will be closed for paving, weather permitting. Sidewalks in the construction area will remain open.

Catch basin work taking place on Northridge Parkway between Andrews Court and Westcomb Crescent and on Inkerman Drive off Colonel Gray Drive will cause delays. This work will continue for the remainder of the week.

Sidewalk work will also take place on Victoria Street between Spring Park Road and Spring Street, on Richmond Street between Pownal Street and Queen Street, and on North Queen Elizabeth Drive between North River Road and Spruce Street.

The right turning lane on Capital Drive onto North River Road will be closed for the week to allow for storm sewer pipe installation. Traffic control personnel will be onsite, as traffic will still be permitted to make a right hand turn at this intersection, through the through lane on Capital Drive. It’s anticipated that traffic will experience some delays as a result of this work. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.

Construction for the Water and Sewer Utility Infrastructure Renewal program will continue with traffic impacts along Belvedere Avenue this week. It’s anticipated that traffic will experience some delays as a result of this work. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to direct motorists. Sidewalks in the area may be impacted during this work. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.
