SUMMERSIDE – Jason Ernest Gallant, 41, of Central Bedeque has pleaded guilty to theft of merchandise valued at less than $5,000 from a Summerside business.

The charge is from July 31 in Summerside.

Gallant was given a suspended sentence, must serve 12 months of probation and must pay a $100 victim surcharge.
