Resident of Stratford facing charges of impaired driving, possession of marijuana for trafficking

Charlottetown Police Services received a call early Sunday from an RCMP patrol about a possible impaired driver stuck in a snowbank on Brackley Point Road.

Officers arrived about 5:15 a.m. and determined the driver was impaired and was also in possession of a quantity of marijuana.

The man, a 39-year-old resident of Stratford, was arrested for impaired driving and also charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

He will be appearing in provincial court at a later date.
