ALBERTON - Police have launched an investigation after an Alberton senior was allegedly robbed of money.

Cpl. Steve MacDonald with Prince District RCMP said the incident was reported to police on Monday, Dec. 21.

The senior sought medical attention the following day, was admitted for observation and released from hospital two days later.

Neither the type of injuries the man sustained nor the amount of money allegedly stolen were disclosed.

"There is nobody under arrest," MacDonald said, indicating the investigation is ongoing. "We're asking the public's help with this and they can call the Prince District RCMP, West Prince RCMP or CrimeStoppers," he said.
