P.E.I. man arrested for impaired driving

FIVE HOUSES – RCMP arrested a man for impaired driving after an incident here  Saturday.

At about 11:36 a.m., a member of Kings District RCMP was on patrol near Route 2 when they witnessed a vehicle pull onto the highway without stopping at a stop sign.

Police conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle and found the driver to be displaying signs of impairment.

The driver was arrested and subsequently taken to Queens District RCMP detachment and provided breath samples over the legal limit.

He was released by police and will be making a plea in Georgetown Provincial Court on August 28.
