Charlottetown man faces trafficking charges after St. Peter's Road drug bust

A 33-year-old Charlottetown man has been arrested after a drug bust at a St. Peter's Road home in the city Monday evening.

RCMP Queens District's street crime unit searched the residence and seized a quantity of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.

The resident of the home, who was arrested without incident, faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana and trafficking in marijuana. 

He has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Charlottetown June 30 to enter a plea. RCMP are withholding the man's name until formal charges have been laid.
