ALBANY, P.E.I. - A trailer was destroyed during a fire near Albany last night.

Witness Cory Rusk drove by the scene at about 6:10 p.m. while firefighters and RCMP were responding to the blaze, which occurred on Mount Tryon Road.

“When I left Summerside I could see the black smoke,” said Rusk. “(When I drove by) it was extinguished but black smoke was still billowing out.”

The trailer was destroyed in the fire although it was unclear if anyone was living in it.

Borden-Carleton Fire Department responded to the blaze.

Chief Paul Murphy said he had no further details on the fire.
