Alberton council awards ditching work

ALBERTON – Alberton town council would not normally be awarding tenders in December for ditching work, but it did this year.

Town administrator, Susan Wallace-Flynn, explained council had been trying to award the work for months but all the contractors were busy.

Lenny’s Heavy Equipment gets the contract of $7,935 for work on Poplar Street and $12,305 for ditching on Prince William Street.

The work will be completed this fall only if the weather holds.
