WINSLOE, P.E.I. – Host Colleen MacPhee welcomes back the duo of Keelin Wedge and Eddy Quinn to the Winsloe United Church ceilidh on Monday, Sept. 10, 7:30 p.m.
This popular duo has been filling the venue whenever they perform in Winsloe.
Quinn, an author and songwriter, is the lead singer for the award-winning Island musical group Fiddlers’ Sons. He will be singing some of his traditional songs as well as sharing some stories from his book, “Island Characters”. Both his book and CDs will be available to purchase at the ceilidh.
Wedge, a multi-instrumentalist and singer is also a member of the Fiddlers’ Sons and will be playing jigs and reels on the guitar as well as on the fiddle. This high-energy performer will also sing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”.
MacPhee a member of the popular group, A Tribute to Lady Singers of our Century, will be performing songs from a variety of different artists and will be joined by the rest of the band, Dave Berrigan, Brian Knox, Brian Knox and Judy Lowe.
The ceilidh is a fundraiser for Winsloe United Church which is wheelchair-accessible, has plenty of parking and is located at 121 Winsloe Rd. Tickets are $10 at the door with doors opening at 6.30. p.m. There will be a light lunch served.
