Ceilidh in the City offers sneak peek summer show with special P.E.I. entertainers – Country Legends – Men of the Century

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Ceilidh in the City will be hosting a special night of music this evening at the Jack Blanchard Family Centre, Charlottetown.

Although Country Legends – Men of the Century does not officially return for its 2018 season until June 27, organizers are hosting a sneak preview of the tribute at 7:30 p.m.

The summer show, which began touring P.E.I. just over a year ago, pays tribute to some of country music’s biggest and brightest stars in the past 60 plus years.

Johnny Cash will be portrayed by ceilidh host Kendall Docherty, Ronnie Milsap by Peter Burke, Gene Watson by Larry Campbell and Merle Haggard by Jimi Platts. The show will also feature some new songs by other artists.

Doors at 6:30 p.m. There is a canteen service operated by the catering staff at the Jack Blanchard Centre as well as a 50/50 draw in support of the Ceilidh Gives Back Fund which will be directed to the Siobhan Armstrong Special Musical Education Travel Fund.
