The fourth animal to be profiled in the 2015 edition of the 12 Strays of Christmas is Forest, a beautiful two-year-old Norwegian forest cat with unique markings and piercing green eyes.

He is very confident and outgoing and would do well in any home.

Forest also enjoys lots of attention and being held.

Holiday Tip #4: When choosing that special Christmas gift for a pet, it is best to avoid toys that consist of string or that contain small, potentially removable objects such as bells.

Pets can easily ingest these objects and surgery may be required for their removal.

For more information about the adoptable animals at the shelter, visit or call 902-892-1190, ext. 21.

The 12 Strays of Christmas, a special feature produced by the P.E.I. Humane Society and The Guardian, will appear periodically during the holiday season.
