Robi and Sharie Hughes found the downtown location for their business they were looking for.

On Tuesday, June 12, Juice Co. opened its second Charlottetown location at 133 Queen St. in the space formerly occupied by Freshii.

When Freshii closed in February, the couple inquired about the vacated space.

“We were trying to find something on the lower end of Queen Street so we could try to get the tourist and work crowd,” said Robi Hughes. “When this came up, we jumped at it because it seemed like a good fit.”

The couple has been looking for a second location since leaving the Charlottetown Mall in December. They had been in the mall since 2007, first as a Juice Zone franchise and then rebranding as Juice Co.

Hughes said the recent opening was coincidentally one year from the time they opened their other location at 475 University Ave. (also home to Thai Express and Petro-Canada).

The Queen Street location has large front windows and seating for about 16 people divided between the main floor and an upper-level. Hughes said there is room for additional seating if needed.
