Miracle Matts, in line to Corey MacPherson, wired the field to win Friday night’s featured event of the season at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park on Friday night.
Time of the mile was 1:58.3.
MacPherson did the driving for owner Blois MacPhail of Cornwall. The race was named in honour of the Town of Montague during a special O’Brien program recognizing Island communities and their contributions to harness racing. Nobestbfor finished second, and Le Fugueur was third.
Driver Ron Gass enjoyed success in both trot divisions staged on the night, with Delta Dental and Caliban Hanover taking their respective classes.
Jason Hughes enjoyed a driving triple on the final card of the season.
