Formal Affair was sent away as the post time favourite and the Governor’s Plate starter delivered, winning in 1:56.4 for his backers in the feature event Saturday night at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Driver Mark Bradley took command of the field sending the Dale and Ronnie Rennie pacing star to the front from Post 8 en route to a one-length victory turning back Riccaras Sun and Sombrero Blue Chip for third. The time of the mile was 1:56.4.

The David Rose-trainee captured his first win of the campaign in only his third start. Driver Mark Bradley enjoyed a driving triple on the night.

In other action, Scarlet Patti and Darryl MacLean won the trot division while Ms Campbell, with Blaine Baglole in the bike, engineered a late stretch duel to win the MacPhail Reunion Pace. Camcun, driven by Kenny Arsenault, claimed the Morell and Area 4H Club Pace.

Racing returns to the CDP Monday night. Post time is 7 p.m.
