Trade deadline day was eventful for at least one former resident of P.E.I.

The Chicago Blackhawks acquired goaltender Drew MacIntyre, a native of Stratford, from the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday for defenceman Dennis Robertson.

The Blackhawks said MacIntyre, 32, will report to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

MacIntyre had an 11-13-1 record, 3.09 goals-against average and .890 save percentage in 28 games with the AHL's Charlotte Checkers.

Robertson, 24, has two goals and three assists in 37 games with Rockford this season.
