Vipers tangle with Capitals in junior B tilt

Game at 4 p.m. at Community Gardens start weekend of interlocking action between Island and N.B. junior teams

The Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers host the Fredericton Capitals today to start a weekend of interlocking action between Island and New Brunswick junior hockey league teams.

Game time is 4 p.m. at Community Gardens.

Kensington leads the Island Junior Hockey League at 14-4-1. The Vipers come in on a two-game winning streak and will try to keep pace ahead of the second-place and surging Arsenault's Fish Mart Western Red Wings (11-5-1).

Kensington expects to have Ryan Murray and Tyler Burton back in the lineup. Mack McGuigan is out for the season with a broken femur and Ben Keefe's return is at least four weeks away.

The Wings host Fredericton in Abram-Village Sunday at 2 p.m., then the A&S Scrap Metal Metros welcome the Kent Koyotes to the cozy confines of Cody Banks Arena at 5:40 p.m.
