The Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild is on a roll after sweeping a home-and-home series from the Miramichi Rivermen to extend its winning streak to four games in the N.B.-P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League.
The Wild romped to a 10-3 win on Friday, then prevailed in a much tougher test on home ice Saturday by a 3-2 score.
The Wild now sits all alone in second place at 13-6-1 (won-lost-overtime losses). Miramichi is now 9-13-1.

At Community Gardens, Kyle Pinksen's goal at 11:01 of the third period broke a 2-2 tie.
Taylor Read opened the scoring for the Wild at 15:05 of the second period, and Brechan MacLean made it 2-0 6:05 into the third period.
However, the Rivermen answered back with goals by Walker Campbell and Chris Ferron 18 seconds apart to tie the game at 6:41.
Brodie MacArthur (2), Ryan Boswall, TJ Shea and Brendan Shea earned assists for the Wild.
Liam Jay recorded the goaltending win over Ryan Hale.

In Miramichi, N.B., Frank Fortin scored four goals to lead the Wild on Friday.
MacArthur contributed two goals and a game-high three assists while single goals came off the sticks of Boswall, Brendan Shea, TJ Shea and Jack DesRoches.
Ferron, David Basque and Simon Theriault answered for the Rivermen.
The Wild jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one period, and took a 6-3 cushion into the second intermission.
Luke Oliver recorded the goaltending win.
