Kensington Wild loses to Newfoundland champs at Atlantics

Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild’s Dillon Wall skates back to retrieve the puck during Atlantic major midget hockey championship action Saturday in New Glasgow, N.S.

The Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild lost 4-3 Saturday to Newfoundland’s Central IcePak at the Atlantic major midget hockey championship.

The Wild completed the tournament with a 0-4 record while the IcePak is 1-2 at the New Glasgow, N.S., tournament.

The IcePak led 2-1 after the first and 3-1 going to the third.

Captain Abel Arsenault, Cole Hackett and Sam Jay scored for the Wild while Campbell Gallant, Spencer Sherren, Michael Evoy and Bailey Webster had assists.

Alex Smith made 12 saves in the loss.
