Vance going to ECHL's Elmira Jackals

Graduating Charlottetown Islanders defenceman Troy Vance has been assigned to the Elmira Jackals by the Dallas Stars.

The Middletown, N.Y., native recorded 17 goals and 66 assists in 206 career games in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The Stars drafted him in the fifth round (135 overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Former UPEI Panther Zach McCullough is also a defenceman with Elmira (22-36-3-5).
