MacAulay helps Clarkson advance to NCAA championship game

Shannon MacAulay is excited to be playing at the NCAA Frozen Four championship beginning today in the United States.

Shannon MacAulay and her Clarkson Golden Knights teammates are going to the NCAA championship game.

Clarkson scored five unanswered goals to defeat Mercyhurst 5-1 Friday in semifinal play at the Women’s Frozen Four in Hamden, Conn.

MacAulay, a sophomore from Mount Herbert, scored late in the third period. She had five shots and was +2.

The third-ranked Golden Knights will play the top-seeded Minnesota (38-1-1) in Sunday’s final at 4 p.m. ADT after the Gophers defeated Wisconsin 5-3.
