UPEI plays Moncton Sunday in women's university hockey

Christina Kelly scored twice and Marie Soleil Deschenes stopped all 19 shots she faced Saturday at the UPEI Panthers shut out the Mount Allison Mounties in university hockey action.

Ferran Brown added a goal and an assist in the Panthers’ 3-0 victory.

Anja Weisser had two assists while singles went to Jessie-Anne Howard and Kiana Strand.

UPEI was 2-for-5 on the power play.

UPEI improves to 9-6-1 while Mount Allison falls to 4-7-4.

The fifth-place Panthers play the fourth-place Blue Eagles (10-6-1) Sunday in Moncton at 2 p.m.
