Ryan Graves’ first goal of the season was the game winner Saturday for the P.E.I. Rocket.

The defenceman scored at 9:33 of the third period to break a 1-1 tie.

Both the Rocket goals were scored by defencemen on the evening, as Jimmy Oligny had the other marker on a first period power play. Oligny has 10 goals this season.

Victor Provencher and captain Josh Currie each had two assists on the night. Currie now has 65 points this season to lead the league by two points over linemate Ben Duffy.

Jakub Izacky replied for Saint John.

Antoine Bibeau stopped 27 shots for the victory while Sebastien Auger made 33 saves in the loss.

P.E.I. improves to 22-15-2 while Saint John falls to 18-21.

The Rocket hosts the Halifax Mooseheads Sunday at 3 p.m.

Before Saturday's game, the Sea Dogs traded 20-year-old forward Stephen MacAulay to Halifax for a fourth round pick in 2013 and a second round pick in 2014.

The Cole Harbour, N.S. native has 18 goals and 18 assists in 34 games this season. He did not play last night, but will be in the lineup today at the Charlottetown Civic Centre.
