Carey scores in last end to defeat Team P.E.I. at Scotties

Manitoba’s Chelsea Carey scored a deuce in the 10th Friday to defeat Prince Edward Island 6-4 at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Montreal.

Carey improved to 9-2 while the Kim Dolan-skipped rink from the Charlottetown Curling Complex finished the 12-team tournament 3-8.

Carey scored a single in the first while the next two ends were blanked. Dolan scored two in the fourth while Carey took a 3-2 lead in the next end. Dolan tied it with a single in the sixth.

The teams traded singles in the eighth and ninth ends.

Team P.E.I. included third Rebecca Jean MacDonald, second Sinead Dolan and lead Michala Robison.
