Eagles delayed a day heading to NAFA tournament

The Summerside Chrysler Dodge Eagles are grounded in Halifax due to thunder storms in the United States.

The O'Leary-based team left Tuesday morning for the North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA) World Series in Quad Cities, Iowa.

"Our flight never got off the ground from Chicago to get here," Darcy Harris said from Halifax.

The Eagles play its first game on Thursday and the team has been rebooked on two flights leaving Wednesday. They will get to Chicago by noon and drive the two and a half hours to Quad Cities.
