Dylan Beck went 3-for-3 Sunday to lead the P.E.I. Brewing Company Athletics to a 16-11 victory over the Cornwall Mudhens in Kings County Baseball League action.
Adam Smith picked up the win with relief from Marshall Ellis. Zach Marsh, who went the distance, took the loss.
Corey Douguay had two hits, including a three-run homer, for the Athletics. Seth Hood was 5-for-5 with two triples for Cornwall while Marsh added two hits.
Athletics 11 Royals 1
The Athletics defeated the Freetown Royals 11-1 in five innings on Friday.
Curtis MacGregor pitched the complete game for the win while Brady vanderuelden suffered the loss.
The Athletics, who were aided by 10 walks, were led by Ellis, Randy Taylor and Kyle Macdougall, who were all 1-for-3.
Freetown was led by Spencer MacAllister, Morgan Murphy and Mike Judson, who were all 1-for-3.
Selects 15 Mudhens 4
The P.E.I. Youth Selects blew open a close game with 13 runs in the final three innings to Friday beat the Mudhens 15-4 in Charlottetown.
Jayden MacLean and Darcy Affleck both doubled and tripled while J.J. Oram and Jed Noonan each had two hits for the Selects.
Ethan Laybolt picked up the win in relief of Patrick Gallant, while Brett Hicken finished the game.
Matt Sanderson took the loss. Zach Marsh had two hits and David Olson contributed a run-scoring single for Cornwall.
