Jason Doyle singled home Logan Gallant in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Morell Chevies to a 6-5 win over the Peakes Tee Sluggers Wednesday night in Morell.

The Chevies had grabbed an early 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI single by winning pitcher Troy Coffin and a three-run home run by Desi Doyle.

The Sluggers answered with a four-run third inning, highlighted by a three-run double by Nick Ryan. The Sluggers would grab the lead in the fourth on a Carter MacLellan solo home run.

The Chevies tied the game 5-5 in their half of the fifth on an RBI single by Scott Ellsworth, setting the stage for the seventh inning heroics.

Coffin finished the night with seven strikeouts in picking up the win, while Bruce Jay took the complete game loss.

Ellsworth, Jason Doyle and Scott Harper all banged out two hits for the Chevies while McLellan and Ryan each finished with a pair of hits for the Sluggers.
