Johannes Arendz was one of a number of P.E.I. biathletes who medalled in New Brunswick during the weekend at the eastern Canadians.
Team P.E.I. came home with gold, silver and bronze medals from the eastern Canadian biathlon championships during the weekend in Charlo, N.B.
Saturday's sprint races had plenty of Island success with Carsen Campbell and André Boudreau winning the men's and youth men's categories, respectfully.
Lucas Boudreau, Hunter Wight and Simon Hale all took home silver in their age classes. Liam Ellis and Johannes Arendz brought home the bronze. Sean Cordeiro and Steven Woodman each had great day's personally.
Sunday brought with it a frigid wind, but it did not deter the P.E.I. team from placing.
Boudreau was the sole winner of the day in the junior men's category. Simon Hale skied his way to a silver medal as did André Boudreau. Ellis, Arendz and Wight each came out with a bronze. Teammates Cordeiro and Woodman also took part.
Campbell did not race on Sunday as he was travelling to the Czech Republic for the IBU Cup 8.
The P.E.I. coaching staff included Judy Hale, Stephen Hale, Darlene MacDonald and Paul Ellis.
